Durante los 5 años que viví allí, el desierto se convirtió no solo en un hogar, sino en un maestro, un confidente y un telón de fondo constante para las lecciones más profundas de la vida. Soy Mavirsa, la autora de «Ecos del desierto: Foxy del arroyo», y me siento increíblemente afortunada de poder compartirles las historias que el viento me ha susurrado y que mis ojos han visto.     No, no guardo rencor. Aunque lo he sentido en muchas ocasiones, he decidido no dejar que se quede en mi corazón ni en mi mente. Dios ha transformado mi corazón y mi mente, llenándolos de Su amor, lo que me permite perdonar rápidamente.

    En cambio, elijo llenar mis pensamientos con cosas buenas, como dice la Biblia. El rencor solo nos llena de amargura, afecta nuestro cuerpo y nuestra mente, y nos impide vivir plenamente. Cuando me libero de él, mi rostro cambia, mis emociones se vuelven más claras y puedo sentir una paz interior que se nota.

    No vale la pena gastar tiempo y energía en algo que nos hace tanto daño a nosotros mismos y a quienes nos rodean.

    No, I don’t hold grudges. Although I’ve felt it on many occasions, I’ve decided not to let it stay in my heart or mind. God has transformed my heart and mind, filling them with His love, which allows me to forgive quickly.

    Instead, I choose to fill my thoughts with good things, as the Bible says. Grudges only fill us with bitterness, affect our body and mind, and prevent us from living fully. When I free myself from them, my face changes, my emotions become clearer, and I can feel an inner peace that is noticeable.

    It’s not worth spending time and energy on something that does so much harm to ourselves and those around us.

    As the day bids farewell, the Phoenix sky transforms into a vibrant spectacle. The sun, now a fiery disc, begins its descent, bathing the landscape in an intense amber glow. Camelback Mountain and South Mountain are painted in deep reds and purples, their silhouettes taking on a dramatic majesty.

    The sky explodes in a symphony of colors: deep purples blend with flaming oranges and crimson reds, as if an invisible artist were mixing pigments directly onto the horizon. Each minute brings a new shade, a new hue, as shadows lengthen and the desert inhales a final breath of the day’s heat. The air grows denser, carrying the sweet perfume of nocturnal desert flowers and the earthy scent released as night falls. City lights begin to twinkle one by one, mimicking the stars that will soon emerge, while the sky slowly darkens, leaving a lingering trace of the beauty you’ve just witnessed. It’s a moment to pause, to breathe deeply, and feel the immensity of the desert enveloping you.

    Conforme el día se despide, el cielo de Phoenix se transforma en un espectáculo vibrante. El sol, ahora un disco ardiente, inicia su descenso, bañando el paisaje con un resplandor ámbar intenso.     I’m incredibly excited to open the doors of ecosdeldesiertolibro.com and to share with you the «Echoes of the Desert» that have resonated in my life and are now coming to life within the pages of my book.

    I’m Mavirsa, and this blog is an extension of the profound connection I’ve had with the Arizona desert wildlife, especially with those extraordinary beings who became my family. Here, in this corner of cyberspace, we will explore together the stories of connection, resilience, and the magic of the desert that have marked my path.

    My book, «Echoes of the Desert: Foxy of the Arroyo», is a memoir of unconditional love, soul-shaping losses, and the astonishing wisdom that animals can teach us. It’s the story of how a coyote named Foxy, a loyal Airedale named Duke, and other fascinating creatures transformed my understanding of the world and myself.
